Tyler McFarland

I’m a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) based in Kitsap County, Washington, specializing in therapy for autistic and neurodivergent individuals. I provide affirming, neurodiversity-informed counseling that helps clients better understand themselves, reduce overwhelm, and build more peaceful, authentic lives. I offer all sessions via secure telehealth, working with clients across Washington State.
I grew up here in the Pacific Northwest and, after living in several western and midwestern states, moved back to Kitsap County—my childhood home. I earned my BA in Humanities from Western Washington University in Bellingham, followed by my MS in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. During my graduate studies, I also received training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I’ve been a licensed therapist in Washington since 2019.
My work is shaped by curiosity and compassion. From a young age, I found myself listening to others and wondering: “Why do people do the things they do?” That question led me to specialize in the autistic brain and behavior, supporting clients who often feel misunderstood in traditional therapy settings. My approach integrates insight-building with practical tools, always honoring each person’s unique way of experiencing the world.
If you’re looking for a neurodivergent-affirming therapist in Washington State, I’d be honored to support you—wherever you are—through accessible, secure online therapy.
