Whether you are struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, social skills, tantrums, acting out, or something else, I am here to help.
My primary focus in mental health counseling is working with individuals who suspect that they are on the Autism Spectrum or Aspergers Syndrome and also those who have a formal diagnosis.
Children & Teens – Growing up in the world today is vastly different from that of 20 years ago. Our children today are having to face things that we could not even dream of. It is vital that these young people have someone they can turn to who will accept them where they are at and be a solid support as they struggle to find their own identity in an ever-changing world.
Parents – Whether your child recently received a diagnosis of ASD or you have been living with the diagnosis for years, I will work with you to assist in strengthening your parenting strategies to help you and your child experience a more fulfilling relationship.
Adults – There are many things that may happen in life and it is impossible to be fully prepared for everything. I will work with you as your guide, a shoulder to lean on, a shoulder to cry on, and a helping hand as you climb the mountain of life.
Families – Families are the essential framework of our society and no family is perfect. I work with families by providing them with a solid place to find the things that truly matter and move forward together. *I DO NOT offer family or couple counseling, but I do encourage family involvement in the counseling process when possible.
“Autism is a gift. Different but equal.” ~ Deborah Lipsky
*A diagnosis of autism or ASD is not needed to access these autism counseling services.
